BioI am a 31 year old single lesbian living in the heart of SoCal. I've been a vegetarian for 18 years and am passionate about animal rights. I am in culinary school currently (which does conflict alot with my beliefs since I am forced to cook meat) and my end goal is to manage a Spanish restaurant *tapas* or become a pastry chef. In the midst of my chaotic world we have my girl friend Ashley who just happens to be informally ingaged to my best guy friend Garrett, my mother and brother, and my 3 living gparents who are all extremely sick.
My journal right now is focused mainly on the health of my gparents, so there are many entries from the last 3 months solely based on this. I currently work for a company that is very homophobic so I also journal a lot about my conflict between being out and proud as opposed to my job on the phone where I must stay in the closet and listen to people talk about one of the most driving forces in life (love) while discriminating at the same time with my community (long sentence I know).
I am a practicing Buddhist (I have always been interested in the eastern religions and became even more intrigued when a friend of mine (who is on my friends list) pointed out that I would make a great Buddhist about 14 years ago. I am very happy with the life I have chosen spiritually and love sharing this with others around me.
